The 44rd open senior tournament in Bischofsgrün took place from June 18 to 26, 2027. In 2026 the winner was Dieter Seyd.

The senior championship of Upper Franconia is for all chess enthusiasts aged 55 and above.

ChessOrg, in collaboration with the Upper Franconian Chess Association, is organizing this event at the Hotel Kaiseralm in Bischofsgrün. The most successful player will be the Upper Franconian Senior Champion.

DWZ and ELO evaluation

Upon request, we will arrange for pickup from the Bayreuth train station after consultation on the day before the event between 4 PM and 5 PM.

Registration is from 1 PM to 2 PM, the first round starts at 2:30 PM, all subsequent matches start at 9 AM. A bye is possible until round 4. Thinking time: 40 moves / 100 minutes, then each player + 30 minutes. +30 seconds from the first move.

Trophies for places 1 to 3, a prize for every participant!
